A man was arrested in Little Rock on Wednesday in connection with a Saturday homicide in Pine Bluff, police said.
In a statement, Sgt. David De Foor, spokesman for the Pine Bluff Police Department, said Jermaine Markist Bailey, 22, was arrested by Little Rock police during a traffic stop shortly after Pine Bluff police asked law enforcement statewide to be on the lookout for him. He is being held on capital murder charges in the death of Kevin Lampkin.
Lampkin was found shot to death in a tan Mercury Grand Marquis at the intersection of East Short 24th Avenue and South Indiana Street. It was Pine Bluff's sixth homicide of the year.
