Arkansas 7 has been closed to traffic south of Dardanelle because of flooding, authorities said on Saturday.

The Yell County sheriff's office posted aerial video from the area, and it said that high water made it necessary to close the highway between Dardanelle and Arkansas 155.

The Dardanelle Levee on the Arkansas River burst about 1 a.m. Friday, sending a flood of water into rural Yell County toward Dardanelle, authorities said.
